We are so glad you are here

We are Milena and Casper and we have a very simple philosophy: treating your soul matters just as much as nourishing your body. And what better way to treat your soul than having a small, cold glass of limoncello at the end of a good meal!

How it started

We both come from science and Casper has always claimed that the kitchen is his lab too. During the COVID years, when he couldn't be at the bench working on his PhD, that's exactly what it became. He experimented making vegan cheeses and fermented foods and drinks. But one experiment stood out the most and that was the making of an original limoncello and a limoncello which combines the taste of the bright and zesty lemon with a bloom of warming ginger. Since then the products of this experiment, especially the limoncello with ginger, have been widely loved not only by us but by family, friends and colleagues too.

It all begins with the fruit: real, organic and untreated I.G.P. lemons from the Italian regions Amalfi and Sorrento. Because what distinguishes a great limoncello from a good one is dedication, care and of course: the very best lemons.

Optimization

With Casper as the scientist and Milena as the manager, we set out to perfect the protocol until the balance of ingredients in both versions was exactly right.

Upscaling

Year after year the batches grew — enough to pour at our own wedding and always enough to keep a bottle ready as a gift for our loved ones.

And still, each year the bottles ran out a little faster

By 2025 the conclusion was clear: it was time to share our limoncello with the rest of the world. So we made it official and Treat The Soul was born.
